With an important quantity of people, mainly fanatics of the legendary British group Genesis, and also of he successfully career of Ray

Before to it, the Argentine the group Chaneton, delighted al public with a set of forty minutes of its best compositions (See review of Chaneton in
the Gran Rex).

The show began when the members of the band arrive to the stage, Ray (who besides being the voice leader, played acoustic guitar and electric), His brother Steve Wilson (as leader guitar), Irvin Duguid (a virtuous musician in piano and keyboard ) Lawrie Mac Millan (bass and voice) and Ashley Mac Millan (battery and percussion).

The opening was carried out with the keyboards that began to play some melodies of Genesis. The show began with some sound problems in the Ray´s microphone and in the Steve´s guitar but some adjustments solved the inconvenient.

We want to emphasize the performance of Ray on Carpet Crawlers (a theme of Genesis) and In the Air Tonight (a theme of Phil Collins).

The ability of Ray was showing , playing with a the same virtuosity for melodic themes or hard rocks themes.

Another point that we want emphasize is the ability to move his voice between the style of Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, but with the personal and particular Ray´s style.

The musician did smile to the people with personal anecdotes related with Genesis, obtaining the adhesion of all the public.

In this wonderful night, Ray and their band carried out themes as, I know that I like, The Lamb lies down on Broadway, Carpet Crawlers, In the Air Tonight, Follow you Follow me, I cant Dance, Home by the Sea, Turn it on away, Land of Confusion, Ripples (themes where the people sang like a corus because all knew perfectly the lyrics).

Amoung that he plays his most important solist compositions like Changes, Sarah, Another Day, The
Actor, Alone and others.

He made pause to tell us in very clear an English (for us), that in the airline it´s broken his acoustic guitar, but fortunately the great luthier of Argentine called Fanta, repaired it, an Ray thanks deeply that.

He continue with some compositions of Calling All Stations, where he made a permanent contact with the people, and he introduced certain moments that he lived, when he joined to Genesis, and he remembered the song Shipwrecked, because

It was the first theme that he recorded with Banks and Rutherford. In this final phase, in an acoustic format, Ray played with his guitar the songs Shipwrecked, Not About us and Lovers leap (from Supper´s ready) Even, Wilson did some musical jewels as, Biko, In the Air Tonight and he closed with the marvelous Knockin´on Heavens Door Of Bob Dylan.

The organization of the concert was perfect, and we thank the invitation of the organizer, Aquiles Sojo, by offering us the possibility to be in the After Hour with Ray, where we spoken and shared a good beer with Ray and his musicians, sharing more anecdotes of Genesis and we taken some photos with him.

Was a wonderful night for the people who recognize to Genesis as a one of the best bands of all the times, and for the fans of Ray Wilson in his successfully career solist.
